VulcanMS Terms of Service

Welcome to VulcanMS, a non-profit MapleStory private server dedicated to recreating the classic MapleStory experience. By accessing or using the VulcanMS website (the “Site”) or game services (the “Services”), you (the “User”) agree to abide by the following Terms of Service. These terms govern your use of the Site and Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

• By using the Site or Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and the MapleStory End User License Agreement (EULA).
• If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Site and Services.
• VulcanMS reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with changes announced via in-game notices. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

2. Use Restrictions

• Non-Commercial Use: The Site and Services may not be reproduced, sold, or used for commercial purposes without explicit written permission from VulcanMS. VulcanMS may refuse service at its discretion if User conduct violates applicable laws or harms VulcanMS, other users, or its affiliates.
• Game Client: VulcanMS does not distribute game clients. Download links on the Site are mirrors of external resources for entertainment purposes only. Users are responsible for ensuring the legality of download sources.

3. Account Management

• Registration and Responsibility: Users may register accounts for free and are solely responsible for account activities and password security. VulcanMS is not liable for unauthorized access or loss of virtual items.
• Account Use: User accounts or characters may be featured in promotional materials (e.g., screenshots, videos) without compensation.
• Naming Policy: Account and character names must:
  • Be 6–12 characters, using only letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9), and underscores.
  • Not use the same letter more than three times consecutively or end with more than four numbers.
  • Not include vulgar, racist, pornographic, drug-related, political, religious, violent, or impersonating content, or references to diseases or human rights violations.
  Violating names will be required to change or face account suspension.

4. User Submissions

• Any content submitted by Users (e.g., character names, chat logs) becomes the property of VulcanMS and may be used without restriction. Users are not entitled to compensation.
• Submissions must not violate these terms or applicable laws, or they may result in account restrictions.

5. Third-Party Content

• VulcanMS does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of third-party content (e.g., player guides).
• Users are responsible for evaluating such content, and VulcanMS is not liable for losses caused by reliance on it.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

• “As Is” Basis: The Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, or accuracy of content. VulcanMS makes no express or implied warranties, including for merchantability or fitness for purpose.
• Liability Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, VulcanMS and its affiliates are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Site or Services, including data loss, virtual item loss, or issues from technical failures or force majeure. In jurisdictions where liability limitations are restricted, VulcanMS’s liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

7. Service Termination

• VulcanMS may modify, suspend, or terminate any part of the Site or Services at any time without notice.
• User accounts may be suspended or terminated without notice for violating these terms.

8. Donations and Refunds

• Donation Policy: Donations are voluntary to support server operations and require Users to be 18 or older. VulcanMS is not responsible for unauthorized donations.
• Refund Policy: Refunds are available if donation rewards are not received. No refunds are possible after rewards are delivered. Unused shop items (in gift boxes) may be refunded; used items are non-refundable. Refund requests must be submitted via the in-game support system.

9. Privacy Statement

• VulcanMS collects data (e.g., IP addresses, game logs) for service optimization. No payment information is stored.
• While efforts are made to protect User data, VulcanMS does not guarantee absolute privacy.

10. Intellectual Property

• VulcanMS is built on MapleStory, with original game content copyrighted by Nexon. VulcanMS’s database, scripts, and WZ edits are for non-profit entertainment only.
• Users may not use Site or Service content for commercial purposes.

11. Termination of Agreement

• If you disagree with these terms or are dissatisfied with the Services, your sole remedy is to stop using them.
• These terms are governed by applicable law.
